the processing room is busy again

I've trained all my new students and everyone is busy processing. Here are images of their tables covered with paper-based collections. Most of them are processing CMU. Athletics organizational records. I'll show the film processing students another day.

1979 AuSable Canoe Race Marathon

  Recently, while processing and describing Channel 9 & 10 News film footage we found a segment of the 1979 AuSable Canoe Race Marathon showing some other race activities, and some of the top finishers. Here are a few images from that segment. The last two images are, I believe, Butch Stockton (brunette) and his partner Bob Welsh (blonde)  heading towards the bank and being briefly interviewed about how sick Butch was all night. They finished fourth that year according to the race statistics.
