This is the word cloud generated my MOHA (MI Oral History Association) conference presentation recording last week. The conference is in mid-October and our session will be shared later with the national conference. My title, one of the longest I've ever had for a conference presentation, is: PBB in the Archives: Challenges and Advantages in Building a Manuscript Collection to Support the Michigan PBB Oral History Project.

1979 AuSable Canoe Race Marathon

  Recently, while processing and describing Channel 9 & 10 News film footage we found a segment of the 1979 AuSable Canoe Race Marathon showing some other race activities, and some of the top finishers. Here are a few images from that segment. The last two images are, I believe, Butch Stockton (brunette) and his partner Bob Welsh (blonde)  heading towards the bank and being briefly interviewed about how sick Butch was all night. They finished fourth that year according to the race statistics.
