UM hiring a Research Services Librarian
The University of Michigan

The Special
Collections Research Center (SCRC) is seeking a Research Services Librarian to
provide leadership, coordination, and oversight for the administration and
delivery of effective, responsive reference services and research assistance to
patrons in person and remotely. Reporting to the Director, Special Collections
Research Center, the Research Services Librarian directs all aspects of service
delivery in the Reading Room, oversees the fulfillment of requests for
reproductions of collection material, and serves as the primary point of
contact for inquiries about SCRC collections and services.

Appointment is anticipated
at the Assistant Librarian or Associate Librarian rank. Salary and rank are
dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Librarian
appointments carry with them increased expectations regarding professional
development, professional engagement, research, and service, in keeping with
the Library's process for librarian
promotion and advancement.
The
target salary ranges for the position are $55,000 - $60,000 per year for the
Assistant Librarian rank and $61,000 - $68,000 per year for the Associate
Librarian rank. The salary offered will be based on the qualifications and
experience of the selected candidate.
