CMU libraries parking lot fence remove

The libraries parking lot fence was removed during the last two weeks. Campus has moved towards fewer flowers, more grass, lower cost and less maintenance.

1979 AuSable Canoe Race Marathon

  Recently, while processing and describing Channel 9 & 10 News film footage we found a segment of the 1979 AuSable Canoe Race Marathon showing some other race activities, and some of the top finishers. Here are a few images from that segment. The last two images are, I believe, Butch Stockton (brunette) and his partner Bob Welsh (blonde)  heading towards the bank and being briefly interviewed about how sick Butch was all night. They finished fourth that year according to the race statistics.
